Gorges du Tarn, 13 Nov

The Gorge du Tarn is a 50km long gorge a bit like Cheddar Gorge but MUCH BIGGER.....

It is full of medieval (again!) villages that hang onto the side of the limestone cliffs in a precarious fashion.  The water is crystal clear and the cliff sides are up to 1500 feet high!  As usual, in Kate and Grahame style we were able to 'do the whole gorge' in an afternoon (why spend a week!?)

We found a viewpoint overlooking the river...

And here is Katy on top of the viewpoint

Halfway along the gorge we even found time to clean Wolfy in the river water!

 St Enimie....another medieval village!

Hairpin cobbles! (can you see me?...I am in the photo)

A little door and a silly face!

A medieval bridge foon

Dunno what they are, but have you ever seen purple berries???
