From here............ we start the journey home (Wed 6th Nov)....

So as I said in the 'Bonkers' post, it was weird waking up to 20c and a gale force wind!  The wind is 'La Tramonte' which comes from the North and is said to be able to turn people taciturn or drive them raging mad!

After our feeding frenzy (well, one English muffin and a French Choc au Pain each) we set off on what is the beginning of our journey back to Blighty.......

The view from Wolfy this morning

Check out the date, time and temperature just as we were leaving!

Just up the road from Cerbere is Collioure, a delightful old coastal village.  So we stopped by for a couple of hours ....

My friend Peter has drawn to my attention that my Foons (Phoons) have all been out of balance (on right leg with right arm forward) so this one is for him!

Peter also said that he would like to see a left footed foon!  Here you are Peter, left footed AND anatomically correct! (haha)

The beautiful Katy, soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine...

View across Collioure beach

Then after Collioure we continued further along the coast to night stop in La Port Nouvelle.  Now for those of you that know Avonmouth, La Port Nouvelle is just about as dull and uninviting!  However it makes a suitable stopover on our way to Carcassone (tomorrow) and we did cycle a few miles to the nearby salt marshes to see if we could spot the Flamingoes !!

Bingo ! A Flamingo ! (well dozens actually)

And on our way through La Port Nouvelle we saw a dog on a scooter with a man on the back!

It's a funny ole world innit!
