We have been out of internet range for the last few days so I have just spent the last hour or so catching up with the blog. It is a dull, windy and rainy day here (almost feels like back home haha).
We are parked in the Aire in a village called Vabres L'Abbaye which is about 10 miles or so before we get to Roquefort Sur Soulzon. We are on a 'fasting' day and also we need to catch up on internet banking, emails and all that caper so this stop for a couple of hours is quite handy. Also because we have been out of mobile 'phone range for a few days we have 400 megs of internet that needs to be used up before 15:00 this afternoon (3 o'clock in old money) before it expires (paid for it, gotta use it !!). Then later today we get a new allowance of 3 gigs which will last for the next 30 days.
It is Armistace day in France on Monday (11th) and a National holiday, so we are not quite sure what will be open and what will be closed. The cheese makers in Roquefort have tours around their caves to see the production and sample the goods, so if they're shut then we will wait until Tuesday (it is ALL about the cheese!)
